All Pets need a certain amount of time to rest after they have bred. Mating is not an easy job. This is the cool down for the Pets.

The cooldown speed of a Pet is determined by the number of generations of the Pet, regardless of genes. The lower the generation, the faster the initial cooldown. Each time a Pet is bred, its cooldown time increases.

About the initial cooldown

The cooldowns for individuals that have never yet been bred will be as shown by the table below.

Increased cooldown due to crossbreeding

For each mating, the cooldown level of the two parent Pets is increased by one. In other words, repeated mating decreases the frequency at which an individual can give birth.

For example, suppose we are breeding a certain Gen 5 Pet. The cooldown for that pet would look like this
